A Philadelphia Staple
While I've frequented Oasis on and off over the years, I don't think I've reviewed it before. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago, and if I'd written this review then, it would have been much less positive. It seemed like the "B" team was working; a few attractive dancers, all attached to regulars, and a few...less so. I didn't stick around long.
I visited twice since then, though, and was much more impressed. The bartenders here are always good, both great looking and hard working. The girls were better to look at, and on each of those visits, I got either a lap dance or private dance. I believe the one girl's name was something like Leah, and the other's was Misty. Both were fun and friendly, and looked good. Misty had a LOT to say--under different circumstances, the lengthy stream of consciousness talking might have been annoying, but from her I didn't mind.
The club itself hasn't changed much in a long time. The layout is basic: when you enter, there's a counter and metal detector for cover and screening if you are there in the evening. Inside, bar surrounding a stage with two poles, though I don't recall ever seeing more than one of them in use at a time. After a couple songs, the dancer comes down and makes the rounds inside the bar for tips. Sound system, bar, lights, everything else is serviceable, but not exceptional. It's like a slight step up from neighborhood bar in terms of the atmosphere, and that's just fine with me. If you're in the Philadelphia area, Oasis is certainly worth a visit, and it could become a regular on your list.
