A western Wisconsin disappointment
I was scouting this place out for a friend of mine and I to visit in the near future ahead of an out-of-town convention where we'll travel together. I had fairly low expectations for this place - I figured it to be a bit of a roadhouse with average looking topless women. But even this met with disappointment. I arrived around 7:30 on Saturday night - paid cover but received a comeback coupon for a free cover on a future visit. Grabbed a couple of drinks to take the edge off and to make the most of what little happy hour was left (ends at 8 - $2 wells, the best part of the visit!). Only about a dozen or so folks there at this early point; perhaps it gets busier as the night progresses.
I admit, having a tall, friendly blonde chat me up while I was having a drink got my hopes up a little. But signs I wasn't so excited about started creeping in - more African-American dancers than I expected to see out here, one or two that maybe should consider doing something else, and so forth. Now I don't have anything against African-American dancers - they just aren't my taste very often. Dancers rotate on & off the stage, 3 songs at a time. At first, it felt like I was going to get a lot of attention for the money at the rail - and I did, for some. But others, I almost felt like I was going to need a large stack of singles to get attention, plus I had one getting a little pushy at the rail to boot. Trying too hard & doing something like that does not sit well with me, and it full well cost her a dance in my book.
Earlier, I had a "lap" dance with one of the AA dancers who seemed to have a cute face and solid body - and it felt more like the dance was two-way no-touch (i.e. Ohio), except for the fact that I was getting smacked in the face with her boobs a time or two. Again, disappointing.
