OK, by definition.
Well a little opportunity on a Saturday evening let me on a PL chase. I drove by PT's but it looked too dead, I didn't want to take the risk. Headed up to Tootsies arrived around 6:30 and the guy to dancer ratio was way out of whack, and the vibe was already not PL friendly. Turned back down south, and drove by Pink Pony - also way too dead to take a risk. I wanted a club that had a little vibe going, and I knew if walked into Stir Crazy, I might wake someone out of their sleep. So, I've been told before to see Showgirls at its best one should see it on a Friday/Saturday night so I headed on down. Decent crowd so I went in. 7.00 admission, no parking fee. My beer was 5.50-6.00. My personal beef with this place is always that it is so low energy, and that did not change on a Saturday night, which you would think would be the highest energy night (I stayed until 10:30 so we got into the night, albeit still early for Miami). This is labeled as a mixed club but at this point you'd have to say that it is a Latin club as far as the dancers and the vibe of the club - as reggaeton dominated the night. I'm not even talking popular Reggaeton songs, I'm talking deep cuts. Anyhew, I'm a proponent of playing songs the girls want to dance to (and good dancing songs) so the heavy reggaeton selection is fine with me. But the point is, while there is a lot of English spoken (and the dancers overall seem to be English speaking), this is definitely a Latin club at this point (for perspective not as much as Bellas, but more so than Booby Trap-Doral).
Maybe close to 20 dancers. While I've seen some thicker types on other days, the crew here seems to be on the slim to more natural curvy side. The plastic level is low, and if I had to describe it, this is a good place to find the Latin version of the "girl next door". Quite a few spinners in the mix. Girls are in that 6-7 range. Nobody is a stunner, and your eyes adjust to what is out there. I settled in on a naturally curvy model who had a nice little ass shake, but she didn't cycle through enough and it was hard to get her. One of the low energy aspects is that the girls don't circle the club that much. While there is a tip parade, it is relatively low pressure and seems to be limited to the girl leaving the stage rotation. So the one I've set my mind on, gets off of stage and I'm waiting for her to come around. In the midst of that they announce a 2-4-1, so at this point I get up to do, what I HATE doing, chase her down, but before I can catch her attention, they call all the girls w/o a dance up to the stage and up she goes. Some time passes, and I decide I need to go so finally I stalk her down when she's coming back out of the dressing room. The lap dances are done on benches in the back, with lots of space but no privacy. I don't get the feeling that this is a big extras club. I get the dance and its...eh. All that wait, and work for one of those classic I'm going to dance AROUND where the action is, with a little tug on the stick at the end of the dance to try and sucker you for a next one. Nah, not falling for that. Plus she had just a faint whiff of working dancer funk. So I finish up my beer and head out. I've had better dances here so I can't say this is the dance standard for the club, just YMMV.
Pros: The low energy of the club makes it a low pressure club. If you want to sit at the bar and drink, you can, with just having to dole out a little for the tip parade. I didn't see anyone necessarily spending money, and it seems like if you wanted to throw some cash you could be the big fish in a small pond. Girls are pretty, not necessarily in the model sense, or obvious stripper sense, but in pretty girls next door. Not many with abs of steel, but the girl next door to you has a soft stomach as well. Girls don't have that hustle gene in them for the most part.
