Nice but expensive
Having now experienced different clubs in different places, my reviews are much more educated, knowing what is offered and available elsewhere. Sapphire's was my wife and my third club together and we actually went back to back nights because one of the dancers really caught my wife's attention. We got in the first night paying a cover but the second night was free as the door people recognized us from the night before. The first night, the place was fairly packed but we tipped the door man who got us front row seats by the main pole. We stayed for hours and got many dances right there on the main floor. Mileage was 6 out of 10 for my wife as they allowed a fair amount but bouncers did come over and control things from time to time....all throughout the club. There was one dancers who was covered in tattoo's and was amazing on the pole. She and my wife made eye contact immediately so she came over to us after her main stage performance. She danced for her numerous times and stayed to talk often. She asked about a private dance back in the VIP room but when she quoted a price of $1200, we said no, but thank you. The rest of the first evening was uneventful...lap dances, drinks, a good time! The next night, we went back because my wife wanted to see that dancer again. Apparently she told my wife to come back for more dances! So, we did..... this time, it was much more busy but we did get our table back. People around were fun as they were couples too. It was their first time at a club together so we all had a lot of fun! Dancer's split dances between our wives and it was a blast. The tattooed favorite spent more time with my wife and she was happy. However, the night ended on a less than ideal note. Everyone was drinking and we were all having a great time. I swear that a dancer was paying close attention and came to offer a dance to my wife. She asked me permission and I said..."Sure, she'll take ONE dance." She wasn't very attractive but I was feeling generous. She stayed with my wife for a while. I finally said to her...."You must like her because this is one LOOOONG dance!" She responded...."I did five dances for her." "WHY?" I asked "because I told you just ONE." The couple next to us even confirmed the request. The dancer insisted that she should be paid for five so I called a bouncer over to settle the score. It was then that I learned that the dancers don't work for the club and that they are independent contractors. The bouncer said that I shoudl pay her for five dancers and that was when our neighbors chimed in and defended me. He turned to the dancer and said...."Take the $20 and be happy." I paid her $25 and she left cursing us. I was pissed so we up and left the place. We got a cab back to the hotel and it was then that I realized that I had left my ID and credit card at the club! UGH.
I got it back the next day but that was a HUGE hassle! So, I no longer run a tab and pay for drinks as we go. Word to the wise.....
