end of year review

I actually stopped in here twice recently, once on a Thursday afternoon, once a Friday, after skipping the place since this spring. The physical setup hasn't changed much if any, although a few things have improved. The lighting is still too dim, but at least the DJ doesn't run the smoke machine any more. The bartender or waitress clears the empties from around the stage regularly enough. Most of the dancers aren't too pushy except wjhen working on their regulars.

Dancers are doing longer sets. Now it's four songs rather than three mostly, and that's good if the dancer's worth watching especially since the tap;-dances last a bit longer. Of course unfortunately there are a very few dancers who didn't seem interested in stage dances, and the longer sets mean everybody leaves the stage. Kills the tipping for the next dancer, too, and that's just not fair to her.

The dancers are still more attractive than they were a year ago, the heifers are still gone, and while a couple are on the wrong side of the line between zaftig and chunky, they also try hard enough to making tipping them worth the bucks.
