Thurs afternoon visit: Is this place in decline?

I've been in Denver for about a decade now, and I've been to Centerfolds on Galena something like 30 times. It's not the dive-iest place in Denver and not the most posh, either. It's been my favorite over the years for higher than average contact, and nearly all of the dancers I've gotten to know have danced here. Cover charge is $10 and the surrounding area is not dangerous, but not upscale, either.

This visit was on a Thurs afternoon, about 5PM, which used to be fairly busy. On this visit there were only a handful of customers and the dancer quality was pretty low -- ranging from a 4s to maybe 7s. Sat at the tip rail for one moderately cute dancer with glasses, and another who said she was from Germany. Both 30ish, heavily tatted, and somewhat boring to talk with. Didn't feel motivated to get any dancers and only stayed about an hour.

This might reflect my mood or my general feeling about clubs these days, but I feel this club on Galena may be in decline. At least in the afternoon, and it's possible that the evening scene is much better. YMMV.
