Work brought me back to the...

Work brought me back to the Detroit area. Since I've been to Bogart's once before, I decided to make it my first stop. This time around I had such a good experience that it was my only stop on Sunday, and one of my last stops on Monday.

A $5 cover got me in Sunday afternoon. I was worried that the talent would be lacking but I was wrong. There had to be six dancers working, which to me is surprising for a Sunday afternoon for any club. There had to be at least 12 customers there. I sat at the bar and got the Sunday special--a bucket of four Miller Lite bottles for $20. I was told if I had just ordered a draft or bottle I could get a free shot of anything I wanted. It was $10 for a beer and burger. They had specials all night.

I got there while the day shift was still working. The dancers ranged from young and plump, to old and past their prime. Since I was't a regular I had to make due with the grandma dancers coming up to me looking for a dance. I politely shot them down and decided to just switch between watching tv and watching the stage show. I finally had the best looking dancer in the place approach me.....or so I thought. She looked good from across the room but once she was almost in my lap you could tell she had a lot of miles on her. I decided to just stick with watching the stageshow and talking to the bartenders. Bogarts is one of those places where you wish that some of the bartenders were the dancers.
