Worth Visiting if Just for Kaylana
Acropolis has easily gained a reputation because of its quality of steak. It's completely synonymous with the club at this point, and for good reason. Between solid food and sexy women, it is a strip club worthy of a visit.
I decided to stop by Acropolis after hearing how highly regarded the steak was. I arrived before 8pm and the parking lot was completely full, and honestly rather small, so I had to park on the side of the nearby road. The cover fee at the door was $5 if I recall correctly as it has been a few months since my visit.
Once inside, there are three stages for prospective guests to sit at. One primary stage and two secondary stages. It's worth noting that the dining area, along with the only non rack seating, is around the main stage. So if you are looking to try the steak while you enjoy the show you will need to sit there.
That being said, the main stage is easily the worst of the three. Girls performing there tended to be the stingiest with their dances, probably under the assumption that this is where the most money can be earned, but as a customer it makes it a much less tempting show. You can get much more attention at the other two for less tips. On top of that, the stage is pretty large and the view when the girls are working the pole was only ok. Not only that but it was closest to the speakers so the music was simply too loud. Overall I would suggest avoiding that stage after you finish your meal.
The other two stages are where the action is at however. For honestly pretty meager tips, girls were regularly climbing into people's laps and rubbing their tits and asses in our faces. The pole was used much less than on the main stage, and even then the pole dancing was honestly just so so. If that's your thing you will probably be disappointed, but for those who want a front row view, these stages delivered. The shape of the other stages is also much more desirable, especially the middle stage, which is rectangular, so make sure to sit on the long sides to have the best view. The only other thing worth noting was that some of the chairs were in need of replacements, and were rather uncomfortable to sit in. However it has been a bit of time since my visit so I cannot say if they replaced them or not
Now onto the private dance booth. It is by far the least private one I have seen. It consists of several love seat style chairs next to each other with no separation, so anyone else receiving a dance will be right next to you. Not only that but some of the seats are in clear view of the middle stage, so needless to say don't expect any extras or two way contact. Prices were pretty typical, being $40-$50 for one song, or $100-$120 for three, depending on the girl
It wouldn't be a review of Acropolis without mentioning the steaks, which were quite solid. To be honest, I wouldn't say that they are the best steaks I've ever had, but for the price you pay they are hard to beat. The only exception would be a rather tough and chewy piece on the steak I received, that I could not pull myself to eat. A particularly uptight customer could probably have gotten a new one but most of it was fine and I was there for a good time, so I didn't mind too much. Is it as legendary as some would have you believe? Not really. But I would say it's still high quality, and more than enough reason to choose this club over the multitude of others in Portland.
Now onto easily the star of the night. At 9 when the shift change occurred, I was beginning to crave a lap dance, and was in search of the perfect stripper to satiate that need. Just then an absolute babe with short hair and a sexy arm sleeve tattoo walks across the stage. She was easily the hottest girl in the club. Her stage name is Kaylana, and she immediately grabbed my attention. She was very interactive with the patrons and basically crawling into everyone's laps the whole time. Kaylana was also very friendly and chatty, so it felt like she actually enjoyed being there. The only complaint was that she wouldn't remove her panties on stage, but that is when you take her to the private dance booth and she shows everything. Let me tell you, her bush was absolutely worth it. She was also very flirty back there as well, talking about how wet she was. My only other advice is to wear a leather belt if you want to see a very kinky side to this beautiful woman.
Acropolis did not disappoint, with good food, sexy women, and typical prices. It's worth noting that I was solo that night, and had a decent way to drive so I did not drink, so I am unable to give a review on the drinks or their prices. If I had to list one major complaint, it would be the air conditioning. It was far too hot in the club, to the point where even the strippers were complaining about it, and they were mostly naked. It wasn't too hot for them to get close and intimate, so take that for what you will. Besides that gripe, you really can't go wrong with a stop here.
