I was hoping for better

I happened to be in Gadsden with a little time to kill. I found this place (actually in Attalla) and decided to pop in. There was 1 girl on stage, 1 girl at the bar and 5 guys in there - 3 were over 60. This was about 5 P.M. and I guess it may have been a little early, but the girls there didn't seem to be interested in dancing - just sitting at the bar chatting with the locals. I was definitely catching the "you're not from around here" vibe. By 6:30, there were no dancers - they left; not the end of their shift, they left to run errands. The bartender acted like it was a bother to her to give me a beer. I walked in with a good bit of money hoping to find a good time, I walked out with almost the same amount (minus about 3 beers, about $14 after tip). Maybe I just caught them at the wrong time - I'll give them another chance, but maybe later in the evening. It's definitely a dive bar (which I like), but they just seem to only like the locals.
