Atlantis My First Review

I've been going down the steps to Atlantis since it was called wizards and maybe something else before that. This is my first review on the site and I can't read the other reviews yet if I repeat a lot of known information or leave out important items. Atlantis is hard to spot from the street as its underneath a restaurant on the corner of 38th and Chestnut. There is always street parking nearby and I've never felt unsafe outside or in, its in university city so there's a lot of college kids and campus security around outside. They have a bartender and beers are ~$7. I don't know how much drinks or shots are. It has several TV's and I think you can see a TV from every seat if you go and want to watch a game. There is a single stage in the middle that is in a t shape and if I remember correctly the part of the stage closest the door is lower than the rest. There are 3 poles and 1-3 girls dancing. 2 or 3 on Fri Sat nights 1 most other times. There are lots of seats around the bar and couches around the walls and a VIP/bachelor party section against one wall. There is two places on opposite sides to get dances. The side closest to 38th street is a room with 5 or 6 couches. Dances there cost $20 and the west side has a few private rooms and they cost $30.

I went last Sunday evening and was disappointed in the quantity of girls. I've gone on previous sundays with much better results. I wasn't planning a review and don't remember any names or much particulars to describe. One of the girls seemed about to nod off. There must have been some drama going on since at one point the dj announced anyone who was in the back and not out in 10 minutes is getting sent home and like 5 minutes 3 girls walked out the door in street clothes. At that point I followed them out. In general I have had some great times at Atlantis, it seems there's always new faces which is good but also some favorite's aren't there the next time either. The girls are majority black with some Spanish and usually 1 or at most 2 white girls. It has a more laid back feel than most strip clubs which I prefer but if you're looking for a fratparty kinda atmosphere theirs other places that fit that better.
