Seems like a fun place, but be careful
I went to Follies on a Monday night, not expecting it to be particularly packed. I was very surprised to see a full parking lot. I rolled in and tried to park my car by myself, but it turns out the place has valet parking only. So I parked across the street so as not to have to use the valet service. I headed inside and was greeted with the fresh smell of cigarette smoke. Not uncommon for Atlanta clubs, but something I wish I had known about ahead of time.
I grabbed a seat and hung out for a bit watching the dancers. No mandatory drink order, which was pretty nice. Soon a tall, thin, busty black girl comes over and sits on my lap. We chat for a bit and I put my arm around her and rub her back for a while. She asked if I wanted a dance and I said I would after talking first, which she seemed okay with. It was nice not being pressured into a dance. Eventually, I decided to get a dance from her. She got all the way nude and gave me a pretty decent dance. It was part table, part lap dance, with a fair amount of contact (everything besides her p*ssy was allowed). I got a couple dances and paid her and she left. No other dancers came over to me for quite a while (nearly 20 minutes) so I decided to move to a different seat.
Wasn't having much luck at the other seat either (ended up waiting about 10 minutes) until a Latina dancer came over to me and asked if I wanted a dance. I said sure, and she asked if I wanted to go to the couches, saying they were $20 a dance instead of $10. I figured I hadn't spent much money so far, so might as well. She led me to the couches and started dancing. It wasn't that great - the couches were cramped and we had to move a couple times to make room for people coming in and out. This girl was also pretty stuck up. Dance was okay, nothing special, but she kept telling me she wanted me to buy her a drink. I told her I was pretty much done, which seemed like about 3-4 songs. She says, "okay that's $140." I was flabbergasted. I tried arguing with her about this, but she wouldn't budge. A good rule of thumb for any strip club is to tell them to tell you when they are starting a new song, so you don't end up overpaying. Not only did I not do that, I foolishly went for the couches which was no different (and arguably even worse) than the floor, and ended up paying twice as much. I had to go to the ATM to get more money (never a good sign) and paid her and left.
