Different Dimension
I have traveled a lot and sample clubs in many states and cities. Some are good times and others make you wonder how desperate people need to be for some human connection. Ciro's was the latter category. The fenced parking lot was good. The club is in an industrial part of the city. When I enter, there are like 5 dancers visible sitting at the bar. Only one customer. The girls seem like most of their night is sitting at the bar. The bartender is an overweight woman who pleasantly explained there was a $5 cover and two drink minimum. I was there out of curiosity. I only drink water so had the bartender give the soft drinks to any dancers interested.
The dances are bar side or some sort of VIP. The dances required a $3 token. I opted for 3 for $9 with a 4th for free. Any club that has to go to these lengths is going to be a poor experience. I'm indulging my curiosity so am not expecting much. A hard at the edges heavy set dancer who had been one of the drink recipients hits me up for a dance. Not my type but I play along. She dances standing while I sit on a bar stool. After, she informs me there is a mandatory $5 tip afterwards. Whatever. I tip her.
A really good looking dancer (absolute standards) is sitting at the far end of the bar. She seems uninterested in being there. Another customer is getting some performance from an elevated side area. I never learned if this was the VIP experience.
