The Foxy--Great value for beer and topless views...but lap dances, not so much

Visited the Foxy on Saturday night--my third visit since the renovation in the fall of 2014. The difference in the club decor is so drastic that TUSCL should have had a new page for the new club. Not only did the name change from the Foxy Lady to the Foxy Gentleman's Club, but the renovation was a full gut and remodel. The old Foxy Lady had a physical club rating of 1--burn your clothes afterward. I had joked that it was THE place in town that I wouldn't want to be caught dead. The new club has rather nice Vegas style club decor with a two-pole (plus a swinging ring) stage and plenty of couches. The bar is quite impressive as are the two buxom bartenders. A room for shooting pool and another outdoors smoking section are available. There is a dedicated (female) DJ who does none of the typical annoying strip club DJ crap. I would make the case that all reviews prior to September 2014 should be removed as this is a totally different club.

The cover is $5 and on Saturday night you can get a pitcher of PBR for $6.50. I mean a full 60 oz. pitcher. You can't get that value at most dive bars. The dancers were mostly 7's and 8's, with a few 6's and one really cute 9. Dancers put on a stage shows with a ton of verve. Unfortunately, the Foxy is limited by being a pastie club under the Lincoln no-touch ordinance. I tried lap dances ($25 / dance) with multiple strippers (so I could share a fair review with TUSCL ;) ). Mileage varied wildly, from a total air dance, to some frustrating low-mileage dances where any real teasing was too brief, to the scandalous (where I'll keep my mouth shut and avoid getting anyone in trouble). I can't make a recommendation for lap dances there with the value being a total game of roulette. Even from the dancer who was most high-mileage, I'm thinking I wouldn't repeat for that price. I'd rather drive to touch clubs in Council Bluffs or Des Moines for lap dances. However, as a bar where you can ogle topless dancers while you get totally crunk, the Foxy Gentleman's Club is an unparalleled value.
