Not the same anymore
Was in Dallas for 2 nights and wanted to hit my one of my old favs Royale Cabaret and found it had changed into Chicas Locas. Never one to shy away from an adventure, I went in hoping that things had not changed too much. I was wrong.
The Club 7 – The club itself it big. A huge 2 story entryway and courtyard next to the main building which has what looks to be a store and resturaunt in the next building makes the place one of the biggest ‘strip joints’ I’ve seen. Not sure when they are open for shopping and eating, but it was not at 1AM on a Wed night. Points for creative thinking though. A huge 2 story entry way with a staircase leading to the 2nd floor balcony and cashier greet you when you enter. Pay your cover and go downstairs for the stage and pretty generous seating. No goonage, medium lighting and relatively comfortable mid back chairs all around. All this is fine except for
The Girls 5 – There were about 9 on staff. I can only rate 1 or 2 because that’s all I got a chance to see. I was the only patron in the place except 2 guys sitting at the bar who seemed totally disinterested and the girls apparently knew it because they were not making the rounds. Most were sitting around a single table talking or just resting…one was actually sleeping on a chase lounge in a corner area of the main floor. I saw a few on stage, but they were basically standing there, only 1 took off her top and they generally did NOT want to be there. All girls were latina that I could see and one, ‘Destiny’ finally came up to sit on my lap. In addition to her, I saw one other blond dancer who could have passed for a gringo although I thought she was latina, who was cute but had small to no boobs.
