Saturday evening visit

Since my go-to club of the recent past is greatly reducing their value proposition these days (or so I surmised from the tuscl reviews, i haven't actually been there since the changes were instituted in late October) I decided I would check out how Bourbon Street was doing these days. Got there about 7 PM and parking lot was sparsely populated, $5 cover. As expected the club was fairly subdued, but their was some eye-candy provided, and between the stage dancers (only 1 stage open) and the televisions showing various college games it was sufficient to keep me adequately entertained until the energy of the club starting increasing at about 9:30. One dancer did stop by during the first few hours and I had a couple VIP dances in the back was an enjoyable time so I didn't totally feel like I was just at a sports bar with some limited stage entertainment provided.

The energy of the club did pick up considerably around 9:30 PM, and by 10 PM they had all 3 stages in services. I think it was still fairly slow for a Saturday night (good tables still available at 11PM and ample room in VIP). After that it felt more like a real strip club. Brittiany stopped by and was nice enough to sit in my lap and talk with me for a couple songs rather than rushing into the "want a dance" routine. Had a few enjoyable dances. Afterwards Kendra stopped by and she has been there long enough that we remembered each other from years past (she can carry a conversation, and is also a fun dancer, perhaps not the prettiest or youngest but still highly recommended), and I had a few VIP dances with her as well.

Overall it was a fun visit but pretty unremarkable (I remember coming here with a friend after a trip to Vegas and having dances with dozens of lovely women on a weekday afternoon and couldn't wait to return but I didn't really feel like that this time) . I left about 11 PM. I spent about $300 and I would say I only had $150 worth of fun, so I'm not sure the value proposition is there for me. Then again my expectations may need to be reset based on spending too much time at HI-liter over the last months.
