The Den hasn't changed much
I lived in the neighborhood for years and would always go up there every now and then and see what the talent provided.
I decided on my way home after work to stop and see if things have changed at all. And not really. The dancers were different.
But the bar and layout remains the same. The seats are all shabby, the type you find at dive bars. I had a beer and sat down in the corner and as soon as I did
a spinner came over, kissed me on the cheek and said how you doing baby. My reply was simple, just havin a beer and unwinding. Then the line came, you want to unwind with me. Now I am 2 sips into my beer and didnt care for the quick pressure so I said, Maybe after a few beers. She took the hint and left.
I watched the talent onstage for awhile and decided to tip this really hot chick with rainbow socks, darla or darcy or dar-something. After her turn she just about came running at me towards my seat. She sat down and said thanks.. No one tips me like you do anymore in here. Really i said, 5 bucks isnt that much. She replied, well in here your lucky if you get 5 bucks during a whole dance on stage. We chatted for awhile and she gave me the whole sob story about her car being broken and her exhusband being a jerk and on and on. I excused myself and went to the bathroom and then instead of going back I just headed out of there.
