If you're used to Detroit clubs, this one will be an odd visit.

Stopped by on a Saturday evening around 5:00 and was surprised by the what I saw inside. Not that it was a bad club, it wasn't, didn't reek of smoke, decent lighting, and the music wasn't at an ear shattering volume, but what struck me as odd was the lack of a VIP room, the fact that there were 5 girls on duty and there were 4 guys in the club, and the place looked empty. I also noticed that there wasn't a DJ, there was a computer system where the girls went and picked their own songs for when they were on stage. Each girl went up for two songs, and the nice thing was they were two full songs. No three minute cut off, the whole song played.

I ordered a coke ($5) and sat at a table to watch the Michigan game for a bit, and enjoy the girls as they headed up on stage. Hard to get the girls names when there is no DJ to announce who is coming on next, and only one girl stopped by in my 30 minutes in the place. We talked about the lack of VIP and while she talked about how nobody paid attention, she did say that there weren't really any extras available like you'll find in a Detroit club.

Bonus was the waitress/bartender came by and gave me a refill on my coke. I thought I'd have to tell her no I didn't want it, but she didn't charge me for the refill, which was a nice surprise.
