I just moved to town and wanted to check out one of the local clubs. I knew going in not to expect any nudity, but since I'm originally from San Diego, that's not such a big deal. In the end, I'd probably prefer this club to a lot of the ones in San Diego anyway - it might be a toss-up with Cheetahs. The big downside is, thanks to Grand Rapids law, dancers are not allowed to take of any article of clothing, either on stage or while giving a lap dance. But, Parkway makes up for it a bit by being pretty cheap.

The club itself is in a random little building in a mostly residential neighborhood, but there are some businesses on Lake Michigan St. There's a parking lot for the club across the street, but you can also find street parking pretty easily, at least on a Tuesday afternoon. There's a sign out front, but nothing else about the building screams "strip club", so if you blink you'll miss it. As you enter the club there's a little hut on the outside for smokers. You enter along the right side of room - straight ahead is the stage and seating area; an alcove off to the right holds the dance booths; the bar is to the left, and there's a game area with a couple pool tables towards the front of the building. One odd thing is that the stage is level with the seating area, and there's a runway that comes out from the main part of the dance floor towards the bar. Seats are just regular wood restaurant chairs instead of typical strip club lounge things. While dancers are on stage, they'll come around to people sitting around the stage (since it's level with the rest of the area there's no real tip rail) and offer dollar dances. Usually this is a mini lap dance, a few seconds facing you and a few the other way. I just had a Bud to drink, and it was $4 or so. Getting in before 6 means no cover. There's a sign over the exit door as you walk out saying that re-entry costs $1, which I imagine applies if you go out for a smoke, but the charge doesn't apply when there's no cover.

Dancers were mostly reasonably attractive, around 7s, with the exception of one smoking hot girl. Lap dances are hands-off, but you can get a decent grind, and they're only $10 a song. Dances take place in an alcove off the main room, separated by a half wall. Some parts of the alcove are pretty dark, and the half wall adds some privacy, but you're still visible.
