Great club!

I hadn't been to Desire for months but I was in Providence again on business recently and I had the afternoon free ... and I couldn't resist the temptation of watching some gorgeous naked women for a couple of hours. As usual, Desire didn't disappoint. I've been there many times over many years, but not often enough to be considered a "regular" in the context used in the reviews of the club. While I'd be the first to agree that there are a LOT of "regulars" who inhabit Desire (especially in the afternoon), and I also agree that there are always a significant number of dancers who spend what seems to be an inordinate amount of time sitting at the bar with their regular customers, I would not agree that this is a significant detraction from the appeal of this club. Why? because there are SO many attractive dancers, even in the early afternoon, that it's hard for me to imagine that any customer would have a problem finding someone who struck his fancy, notwithstanding the fact that there are probably 5 dancers hanging with regulars at any given time. Also, others have commented that the dancers don't seem to approach them to the degree that they'd like. I agree that this is probably true as well, especially compared to some of the other Providence clubs, but the flip side is that it can get annoying when dancers are continuously bombarding you with "Hey, do you wanna dance?" ... especially if they get offended by a polite "no thanks, maybe later" response. But if you sit around waiting for your favorite dancer to approach you first, you may wait for an entire afternoon with no hits. My experience is that most of the dancers here expect you to approach them first. Personally, I prefer it this way.

If you're trying to get the attention of a particular dancer (assuming she is not with a regular) my suggestion it to do either of the following: 1. Sit at one of the tables close to the dressing room door and catch your dancer going in or out and simply ask. "Excuse me, are you interested in doing a dance later?" The probability is high that she is interested in doing a dance NOW (and probably later too). or, 2 tip your dancer while she's dancing on-stage and ask her if she'd like to do a dance for you when she gets off stage. If you get to her early in her set, chances are you'll be first on her list, but if you wait until her last song, someone else may already have made arrangements with her.
