Friday Night

The Candy Store is a nice, small club that has more the feel of a neighborhood bar than a gentlemen's establishment. The cover was $8.00 on Saturday night, and, as a plus, I asked for a glass of water (and not an overpriced bottle) and the bartender happily filled a glass with ice and H2O from the tap. I tipped him $3.00, and he said, "Not necessarily, thank you for coming in."

I slid it to the edge of the bar anyway.

I was there watching the football games, and saw the major upsets of the day, with portions of the bar losing their minds when Michigan went down in Iowa City, so the environment was a fun one as well.
