I dropped into the 5 the other night and had a good time, staying long enough to see a full rotation of this week's five stage features and sticking around to see one, Lotus Lane, twice. She's drop dead gorgeous, a solid 11 out of 10, but her taste in music did not improve the second time around. I tipped her $5 on the second set, probably the only time I've ever tipped a dancer in Vancouver in 17 years of SCing. The other four were a pair of 7s (Amber Stone & Dayna Shyre) and a pair of 9s (Georgia West & Felicity/Fidelity/?), very good for this club. There were two shower shows while I was there; I was seated in the splash zone and I did get wet but not soaked -- put your coaster over your drink to prevent getting any soap in it! All of the girls this week were natural, a big plus in my books, but of course it's a crap shoot at any BC club week to week.

The house dancer's were a major step up from my last visit, there were at least a dozen of them by 9pm and they ranged from 6-9 although many of them were a little thick for my tastes. A couple were overly persistent, asking me if I wanted a dance about evry 15 minutes, but the hustle factor was generally low Although the DJ claimed that the stage dancers were available for VIPs I only saw two of them out on the floor. I did not indulge in a private dance this trip but that decision was financially based (I was told $40/song), although if Lotus Lane had beem offering I might have made a trip to the ATM.

The beer selection is quite good for a peeler bar, they were pushing Whiskey Wednesday specials, and the waitresses were quick despite being overworked by the large crowd. The DJ was competent, playing newer rock than on my last visit but there were guitars in every song. Cover was $5 after 8pm. Good news for the tourists, by 8:30 the wait between sets shrank to one or two songs at most.
