A happening place

I found myself in Toronto a while back, and I'm just now getting around to reviewing the two strip clubs I visited during this trip. Atlantis was the first club I went to, and I was rather unimpressed by the parking lot. Quite the opposite - even for the mostly light industrial area the club is in, the parking lot seems bad. Litter everywhere, uneven pavement, the whole place could use a scrape of the top 6 inches (~ 20 cm for you Canucks) and a complete re-pave.

Once you step inside the club, however, everything is reversed. The interior is well laid out, well-lit (for a strip club), and while not "posh" it is very comfortable. It's as if all the effort they didn't spend on keeping the parking lot up went into making sure the inside was above expectations. There was no cover charge when I got there, which was admittedly fairly early in the evening. Prices for a bottle of water were what you would expect - and when I paid in US currency, the waitress did some quick conversion math that dropped the price down to about USD$2 total. That earned her a fairly nice tip, and she must have spread the word that I'm a generous soul (I'm not, really, it just looked like it because of the exchange rate), because one of the hottest dancers in the club came to sit with me about 5 minutes later.

The club layout is fairly straightforward. As you walk in, the stage is ahead of you to your right. The bar is immediately on your left, with seating all around the stage, and a raised seating area ahead of you to your right. The stairway to go up to the VIP area is next to the entrance way, and the VIP area wraps around the upper level balcony.
