Adelita remains the best of the rest. All puta bars are selling the same thing. But behind Hong Kong's glitsy American dance club veneer is the seductive allure of being the VIP. People on vacation enjoy HK not only because of the English speaking maseros but the fake party atmosphere. You get to live the illusion that you are the life of the party so long as you're dropping money. It is an undeniably appealing product so long as you come from the American condition where attention is every bit as desirable as sexual gratification.

But if gratification is all you seek, Adelita offers a very competitive product. Others have noted that the mean and median of talent at Adelita is a step down from HK. That is undeniable. But the hottest 5 girls on the floor each night can easily trade blows with HK's very best. Adelita features a superior selection when compared to second tier bars such as Tropical Bar and Las Chavelas. And the talent pool flat out destroys the locals friendly Gloria or Valentina Bars (probably deserving of their own sections here on TUSCL). Most girls accepted 600~800 Pesos to go upstairs with some asking for 1000~1250 for anal. I probably could have negotiated them down further but with the exchange rate at around 18.5 Pesos to the dollar last trip, I just wanted to feel like a baller. And we played ball. A lot. This must be what JohnSmith feels all the time.

One thing to keep in mind is that Hotel Coahuila is cheaper at $45 for a standard room plus a $5 key deposit on a Monday night (compared to Cascadas at $55 plus deposit not factoring in VIP card discounts), but I still did not see an elevator this time around. My fellow TUSCLer (who shall remain nameless) has openly named stairs as his mortal enemy. If you are one of the folks who can't go ándale after going arriba, you may want to negotiate the stairs slowly. Perhaps take a break to make out with your girl ever half a flight.
