A wiseguy, eh?

I was amused by this place the first time I visited. I thought bringing a couple of TUSCLers would lead to them being amused as well. We were amused for the wrong reason. This place is dead. It's still well maintained and clean, but there's nothing to be had here that can't be found elsewhere and more plentiful. The few ladies working looked like they were over 40 and several might have been fighting a glandular condition.

The highlight of the club is the blue neon sign over the men's room that read "wiseguys" or something like that. I was really drunk at this point and it made me laugh. Not as funny when looking back at it. There is no wisdom to be found here.

Chicago Club was once the jewel of Zona Norte along with Adelitas. Adelitas still has its niche in a Hong Kong driven world. Chicago is still a nice venue. But I can't really see this place becoming relevant again unless tourism spikes significantly and HK's spillover leads to more foot traffic in this Siberia of Zona Norte.
