Inflation

I come by here about once a month or so - have been visiting this club for years, going back to the old Dollhouse days. While I used to dislike the evening gown routine, I did always like the hourly parade where you could see the girls and get a 2 for 1 - for $30. Nowadays the 2 for 1 is gone (I hear it happens occasionally, but I don't think I've heard them offer it this year), and the girls charge $40 per dance - even though there's a sign in the dance room that says the price should be $30. I asked a dancer I've known for years and she says that they all ask for $40 (unless they know you well) because business is down. While I definitely notice the parking lot is emptier than it used to be, someone needs to teach these girls some basic economics - raising prices in a highly elastic environment will drive DOWN demand and more than offset the revenue increase per unit (unless your COGS is negative - not the case here, or really anywhere).

It's pretty sad to see what has become of this place - it used to be wall to wall with guys and girls having fun; now it's usually pretty dead and most of the girls are just sitting around. Not sure if this is happening elsewhere around the country, or if its a local issue. But it kind of sucks to try to get lap dances around here now.
