I went to Scores Chicago on a Tuesday just before 17:00. Parking is free from 11:00 to 17:00. After 5pm, the club forces customers to do valet parking at a rate of $6. There was a $3 cover charge, which the club stated was mandatory due to the Illinois pole tax. Even if you have a free admission pass, you will still have to shell out three bones. Coat check was mandatory, but there was no charge. I did end up tipping the door girl a buck on the way out. The inside is basically a central stage with one pole, surrounded by tables and chairs. There are auxiliary stages with poles on both the west side and east side of the club, but they were not in use this evening. There are two full bars. A soda was $5.25. It came in a tiny goblet with way too much ice. A pint of draft beer was $3, but I am guessing that was the Happy Hour price. Food is available for lunch and dinner.

There were eight dancers working during the ninety or so minutes I was inside the club. Most of them take a turn dancing on stage, but a couple of the dancers (ie. overweight or postpartum) are not allowed by the club to do a stage set. These unfit dancers also have to pay a higher fee to work at the club. Only two of the eight dancers working fit this category. There were only two dancers above a 7 rating this evening. One was a blonde by the name of Rose. The other was a brunette with the moniker Brandy. The other six dancers were average to subpar and did not initiate any metamorphosis to the Transformer in my pants.

I usually will do lap dances and/or a VIP session at every club I visit for research purposes, but the prices at Scores were just too outrageous to take one for the team today. Lap dances were $40 each or 3/$100. Previous reviewers had stated lap dances were $30, so I wonder if the price was raised since this summer. The VIP room was $600 for thirty minutes and $900 for sixty minutes. Both of those options included unlimited beverages, but really how much could you drink in thirty or sixty minutes. There is also another more exclusive VIP room priced at $1,000 for thirty minutes and $1,500 for sixty minutes. Only the likes of Bill Gates and Amancia Ortega would not hesitate paying these prices for a striptease.
