Club O review

Club O is one of three strip clubs in Harvey, IL (the other two being Skybox just a block away and Arnie's). Club O is a bit nicer than Skybox, but also more expensive (drinks, dances, rooms, etc.). Club O is also one of the few clubs in the Chicago area that feature full nudity on stage (the others being Skybox, 390, Ocean, Silver Slipper and the Admiral), but also full contact and full liquor (390 is the only other one; Ocean isn't always full contact or it wasn't when I went there).

So I arrived in the supposedly war torn battlefield of Harvey and entered the large parking lot (no valet like Ocean which has the same owner). l proceeded to walk in the doorway and was greeted by bouncers asking for ID, cover ($15 compared to $10 at Skybox), and asked to empty my pockets of anything metal and walk through a very sensitive detector (airport style). Since I wasn't packing, I was good to go. I then walked through another set of double doors and another floor host greeted me. Since there were numerous seats available through out the club, I wasn't escorted to a seat as in previous visits.

The main general seating area has about 4 rows of 4 tables with about 3 seats per table. There was another row along the back with cushioned benches. To the direct right of the main seating area is an enclosed reserved area with cushioned seating for about 15. To the left of the main seating area and up a few steps is where the VIP section used to be. It was remodeled over a year ago and resembles more of a fancy sports bar (open to anyone now). Lot of space, but not that many tables (about 10-12 with 4 seats each). There's also a huge bar (maybe 50 feet long) with about 20 seats and several large flat screens on the wall. The fairly large stage is in front of the main seating area and is in a home plate shape (squared triangle) with seating for about 20 although there are no seats in the front (triangled part) of the stage. There is a second much smaller bar (unoccupied) to the right of the stage in the corner of the club with about 5-7 seats and a couple tables nearby. The bathrooms (with trolls at least for the men, lol) are in the same area. There is also a second floor balcony over and behind the main seating area, but it was closed off although I haven seen people on it. Overall a decent place without a cluttered feel (Skybox squeezes way more seats and tables in a similar sized club). The place could probably seat over 150 people, but there were probably less than 50 on a Saturday late night.
