Worth Checking Out
Unless you are a local or already some kind of a devotee, you really have to make an effort to visit this place. It is not "on the way" to anywhere. It is oddly nestled in what seems to be a relatively upscale neighborhood in western Baltimore. Again, unless you are a regular, good luck coordinating Google Maps’ sequence of verbal directions and map images, while also occasionally looking up through the windshield.
Pulling up to the place, it looks like the nicest supper club in a midwestern factory town that had its heyday two generations ago and has gone a bit to seed. Decent-sized parking lot, but at 9:30 pm on a Thursday, it seemed surprisingly full compared to the scene when I went inside.
Went inside, accommodating security guy talked me through the metal detector and collected $10 cover. Immediately toward the left front was a shallow stage with a “keyhole” platform, surrounded by go-go bar type poles, that extended toward the rear of the club and an undulating bar which looks like it could seat 30 or so patrons.
Restrooms down the hall straight ahead from the entry. Above the urinals are two signs: (1) an incomprehensible schedule of services and rates; and (2) an incomprehensible dissertation by ownership about how theirs is the only club in the Balto area where the dancers are “employees” and not “independent contractors”. This is all couched in pseudo-social justice nonsense, but it’s coupled with caution about dancers trying to set their own rates. The one dancer I connected with dismissed it as all BS.
To the right front as you enter is dining table seating. There’s another dining area off to the far left. Additional dining tables are sprinkled on either side of the key-shaped platform stage. At 9:30 pm, one male/female couple was enjoying their stage-adjacent dinner.
My impression is that the place may have a local rep as a decent dining venue. To each their own and all that, but I would be skeeved out sitting at a table (with or without my SO) cutting up a steak while a woman was trying to perform on stage. But, if you and/or yours are into the couples SC experience, this may be a place for you.
I’ve never made this comment about a SC before but the bar service sucked. They had adequate staff and the place wasn’t crowded but the staff just seemed more interested in chatting with their friends instead of serving thirsty strangers. Finally got served an $11 draft IPA.
Talent generally in the low-to-mid range, with a couple exceptions on the high end. Probably 60/40 ratio AA to white. 40% were so obese that they had no business working at a SC. 10-15 dancers in sight, probably fewer customers, with quite a few sitting alone nursing drinks.
Saw the best looking woman in the place at the far end of the bar. AA spinner in a colorful, tight-fitting mini-skirt and matching, midriff baring top. From that distance, the outfit looked like something a civvie chick might wear while out clubbing. She was chatting with a small group and I wondered if she might, in fact, be a civvie here on a date or just a night out. She finally broke away from the group and made her way over to me, and I saw the bottom and top were mesh covering a G-string and otherwise bare breasts with skintone pasties. Good news for me: She was on the clock.
Definite GND type. Face looked like the actress who played Eddie Murphy’s love interest in Coming to America. Tight, toned body with small breasts. Easy conversationalist. Smart with a bit of an edge.. I’d had my fun at Purple Orchid in Phila before driving down to Balto en route to my work commitment the next day, so not looking for extras (for a change). But I wanted to have some kind of a dance with this woman, so I had to reckon with the ridiculously complicated dance menu. The only parts I remember were single songs for $40 in what she said was a basically open area, 10 minutes for $60 in a more private cubicle, and 20 minutes for $100 in the same cubicles. Aftyer that, it gets really expensive.
Went for the 10 minute option, thinking 20 minutes can be a long time for a no-extras VIP. She went to the restroom to tidy up, which seemed like a good sign. Then she pitched an advance agreement for a $60 tip to guarantee a ”much more sensual” dance. In defiance of all TUSCL orthodoxy, I went for it. I will do it again. She had a great vibe, and, worse comes to worse, I would have written it, and Millstream, off as a one-off experience. Plus, $12/minute all-in (i.e. tip included) isn’t an outrageous rate for a good VIP with a hot woman at a decent club.
The gamble paid off. She delivered as promised and really knew how to turn on the heat. Little Manuel was invited to come out and play and got some individualized attention. If it weren’t for the post-PO refractory period and the drinks I’d had, I would definitely have nutted.
My near term business travel obligations will have me swinging through Balto a few times to head west on I-70. We exchanged numbers So I will reach out next trip for a repeat performance, and see if it might lead to some OTC action.
