Not the best night for an out of towner

TLDR; If you are not a regular, the dancers ignore you.

I was visiting Kansas City for business and wanted to spend time at one of the Lawrence clubs (have been to the Outhouse, but was looking for something not quite as rowdy). Came here on a Thursday night at around 10pm. Stayed until 1. I had over 200 dollars burning a hole in my pocket. Now the club itself is located outside of Lawrence. From I70 you have to take a really bumpy road that almost made me wonder if google maps was steering me in the wrong direction. Overall the club is pretty clean. The bathroom was okay, but did not have a stall door on the toilet if that matters to anyone. There were about 6-8 girls on duty. No cover charge, but there was a $10 fee for VIP dances, with VIP costing $20 per song (the waitress said that a table dance with no touching and no nudity for $10 was also available) There really weren't very many people that night. I assume that the ones there were all regulars. The pole is in the middle of the room with chairs surrounding it. As always I tipped every dancer at least $1 (sometimes more) as long as they took their top off (sometimes they left it on).

Now here is where this club really failed. I was only approached once that night by a tall blond dancer. I know that the boss sent her over as she was talking to him and I noticed he gestured in my direction. I had already been sitting there for a half an hour with only a drink in my hand when she sat with me. I immediately let her order a drink. I really didn't click much with her, but as I had been waiting for a long time I went ahead and got a VIP dance with her. While attractive, she kept her eyes closed throughout the dance and went through the motions. Touching was allowed everywhere but in the holes and there was no kissing. I never made a connection with her. I did not wish for another dance with her, so I let her know that I might be open to another one later, but really just wanted to find another dancer. She left and began talking to a regular. I did not realize that this was my only dance for the night. Only the waitress came to talk with me for the rest of the night (of course it was mainly to get a drink order). The dancers kept talking with regulars, who did tend to tip at the pole, but very few actually did VIP dances (there was at least one regular who had 2 dancers with him and never once received a VIP dance)
