Not a bad way to kill an evening.

I was traveling for business and found myself in Kokomo for the night. I decided to visit the Hugger as it'd been several years since I'd been there. The only thing that had changed since my last visit was the cover; $5 now vs. $3 then. There is ample parking around the building or in the lot across the street. It was about 9:0 PM when I got there. Once inside, I paid my $5 to the gentleman at the table just inside the door and found a seat. There are video poker machines and pool tables to the left of the entry. The bar, stage, and dance area is to the right. One thing to note is the smoking sign on the front door. It states very that smoking is allowed inside.

The crowd was good and more than half of the tables were occupied. There were a fair number and a pretty good mix of dancers. Quite a few of them seemed to be sitting with regulars. The waitress was pretty good and got to me right away. They only have Bud or Bud Light draught for $3/glass of $11/ pitcher Hard liquor is $6 regardless if it's a shot or a mixed drink. Other than the $5 cover, it was the same old Hugger. The girls feed the jukebox and then take the stage for their set. Some guys tip at the stage, but the girls all work the room for tips after they come off stage. Some can get pretty pushy, others are nice and move on if you politely decline.

The dance area was busy most of the night. I did dances with two different girls. Both offered what I remembered from the Hugger with a pretty fair amount of mutual contact. Dances are $10, so it's not difficult to have a good time without breaking the bank. A girl that I'd had my eye on came and sat with me, but told me she didn't go back to the dance area for less than $100. She was cool with me saying I wanted to chill for a while and stopped by a few times to sit and talk. I ended up buying her a few drinks and will probably do dances with her if she's still there the next time I get to Kokomo We briefly discussed OTC and I got the feeling it was available, but it'll take a trip or two to the dance area to make it happen.. Other than smelling like smoke when I headed back to the hotel, it wasn't a bad way to kill an evening.
