MIxed bag at Mystique

Ok, so this place is much closer to an actual strip club than the old place. At least they have girls. In dozens of trips to the old joint, I saw girls maybe twice. Granted I heard the place hopped at night, but I never went. The old place was more of an after work, grab a beer type places and I don't think the new place has this market figured out. It's too upscale for the neighborhood that it's in to attract guys like me who work in the area. I feel outta place walking in there in work clothes, but so far they haven't bounced me. Once told me to take my bball hat off but I ignored the guy and they didn't make a stink. What they needed to go for in this upgrade was dive bar like the old place, but with the hotties of the new place.

Anyway, the place is really nice inside now. They open at 4pm and the girls are there, which is a switch. They bus 'em in from Russia, by way of Bridgeport. And the broads are hot. Seriously hot. Asian girls too, which is nuts for CT. (There is one Asian hottie at Beamers, but that's it). A bunch of Russian Steppe girls at Mystique Stamford. I'm all for that!

Ok, now for the down side... for the most part, the bar tenders are not to good. One cool Asian girl (American, not Russian) is pretty good, but the Russian girl that is there most of the time is terrible. I've been to Mystique Stamford about 4 or 5 times, and when the tall Russian girl is behind the bar, I could be dying of thirst and not be able to BUY a drink. Once, I seriously sat at the bar for 25 min, trying to get the bartender's attention to no avail. Once, when I finally did get her to get me a beer, she put a bottle of sparkling water in front of me an walked away...?!? Yikes. Dumb as a box of dumb. And, while they have seriously upgraded the TVs in the joint, and we no longer have to watch golf, (or deal with that last douche bag pony tail owner who thought he was a golfer... I've seen the guy play, he's a hack), the bar tenders DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY OR ABILITY to change the channel. They have to get the door man, who doesn't know how to do it... it's nuts. I've left 3 separate times after 1 beer because they can't get a game up. Its insane. To watch the RedSox in the playoffs had a bunch of dudes coming down to watch with me, but when they couldn't change to the game, we punted on girls and when downtown to BobbyVs because we knew at least we could get the game. This places has hot girls, but trust me, they make their money on the booze margin. Between me and my friends alone, I'd say they've left 2 or 3 cases of beer (and god knows how many lap dances for the girls) on the table that one night because of some stupid TV policy. I can't imagine how much money overall that every person in that place has not spent... I know I'm not the only dude pissed at the TV deal: a guy next to me when this place first open wanted the Mets and he left in a huff when the bartender told him they couldn't change the channel.
