Friday at Shakers
Couples visited the club on a Friday night around 9 pm. Cover was $15 for both guys and girls. At the time we got there, there was only a handful of patrons, mostly couples actually. The dancers were only using the small stage by the front door and bar. It seemed like 2 song sets and the dancers here go full nude. Not a ton of pole work, only a few girls seemed to know how to pole dance. The crowd picked up around 11 PM and they moved to the larger main stage at that time. Their was a wide mix of dancers, with the attractiveness and pole dancing ability getting better as it got later. This club is open until 5 am, so it might be that the crowds show up after the bars close at 2. We left around midnight, and there was a dancer in street clothes walking in as we left. Sodas and red bulls were $5 and I don't believe any alcohol is allowed inside. The music at this place is really bad. I don't know if it is the DJ or the dancers that pick it, but it was stuff I had never heard before like some sort of Drake B side rap. It was too loud and just really bad. Its actually what caused us to leave, that and wanting a drink. We didn't get a dance here, but did get the situation from one of the dancers. Each of us needed a 5 dollar bracelet to get a dance, and they were $30 per song. She told us there were cameras in the wrist band dance area. You could also visit the VIP dance area (there were 3 levels, of which one was a dungeon) starting at $180 per 30 min. I would give this place a lot of credit for being clean and nice. The club is very well decorated and the bathrooms were spotless, which is something the ladies seemed to comment on. Next time we will go drinking first and then visit Shakers afterwards, closer to midnight.
