Dancers that hijack customer's time...
First of all, Rio is one of my favorite clubs in Indianapolis. It's relaxed. The dancers are friendly, as are the wait staff. The drinks and food come at a fair price.
The physical surroundings are okay, nothing to write home about. The VIP room (priced at $150) is shared by other dancers at any time. It's a square room, with cushioned couch seating along the wall with a table in the middle. It's dark, but light enough that you can see other patrons and dancers. When alone, it's much better. Just outside of the VIP room is a semi private area, for $30 dances. This is a nice area, but it's awkward being so open. The doorman and entry is immediately to the right as you get in. There are three dance platforms in the middle, with the DJ to your left, and a large flatscreen TV on the far left wall. The bar is straight ahead as you go in, about 50 feet across the room.
There are a variety of dancers, mostly white and black, I think a hispanic or two. There are some different body types from skinny to large, to shapely. One dancer really caught my eye - Sierra. She has looks and personality. Another dancer, Lindsey, is a nice dancer to speak to. I appreciate her down to earth personality, and she gives a good dance. However, she tends to hijack customer time. It can be frustrating when you want to meet different dancers, and not have one monopolize your time.
