I was here on Thursday night...

I was here on Thursday night to see the Miss Hypnotic 2006 contest. I usually come in during the day because it's a more mellow atmosphere. However, one of my favorite dancers said she was going to be in the contest so I decided to go. It was about 10 and the parking lot was almost full. Inside, the bouncer asked for a $5 cover. I produced a free cover ad, but he still asked for $2. At the risk of sounding cheap, it did annoy me a little, but I paid it anyway. Thinking back, the contest may have been considered a "special event."

Once inside, it was standing room only and I had to wait at the bar area for a bouncer to get me a seat. Unfortunately, one of the few negatives about this club is that when it gets really busy, the bouncers expect to get tipped when they find you and your party, if you come in a group, seating. If you're alone and they only find you a chair against the wall, a couple of dollars is fine, but more is expected if they find you a table. Luckily, all I needed was a chair. The contest started about an hour later. My favorite did not win, but she did come over to talk for a few songs and did a couple of nice dances. While the dances here can be very good, most of the chairs have arms that restrict what a dancer can do. I pointed this out to my favorite and she said the non-restrictive couches at a different club has spoiled me. I definitely agreed.

On a side note about the day shift, I've heard several longtime dancers have quit. Some of them had been dancing for me for years and have always taken care of me. This is also part of the reason why I dropped my rating on this place.
