An ok run of the mill SC

IMO, downtown Montreal clubs are way over rated. In general they're one big hustle - relatively expensive, low mileage and i simply detest the idea of tipping a bouncer to walk me to a bar stool 10 feet from the door - just really pisses me off. So, that in mind, I thought I'd check out this place which is pretty far off the beaten path from the Ste Catherine strip. If you're staying downtown its at least a $25 cab ride and keep in mind when you want to leave the club has to call you a cab and depending on time of day / night you could be waiting a while for one to come ... they dont cruise the streets out there so you're at the mercy of the car service.

Anyway ... I thought I'd check out a place with more a local feel so on my way I go ... it was midweek night (weds or thurs) about 10. It's a nice looking space, typical SC flashy but updated with large stage stage and ample seating. It was pretty slow, maybe 10 customers and prob that many dancers - it looks emptier than it is since it's a big space. The girls were all attractive, 20s - early 30's with a good mix of size, shape and color - none lower than a 6 and 1 or 2 real beauties. Was immediately approached by a couple but begged off saying i'd just got there and got polite replies saying to find them later. Ordered a beer and hung out at a seat on the stage to settle in. Watched a couple of dances and survey the scene - the one thing that sucks is you've gotta tip the dancers at least $5 bc it's the lowest paper money. I guess some guys throw a $2 but I feel weird giving dancers change - maybe the locals do it but seems insulting to throw a coin at a girl.

After a while this drop dead georgous sits down next to me ... we struck up a conversation and she was actuallty quite nice. Bought her a drink which seemd to be the regular price not an inflated dancer drink. I would have loved to go for a dance with this one and pay whatever i needed to for the experience but when we got into details she made it very clear it was a dance only, from what I could tell the LD area was not private and there wasn't any vip area for a more private experience. One of the few times I was disappointed I couldn't get what I was looking for - this chick was smokin. We hung out for another 10 min or so and gave her 20 since she sat and talked with me for at 1/2 an hour.
