Fun but very expensive

I picked this one at random out of the many clubs on Bourbon. $10 to get in, or $20 to get in to the upstairs VIP level which seems like a ripoff and I did not try. There is a big stage, a satellite stage, and an outdoor patio which is nice. Long bar on the left. Mezzanine VIP seating with a view down to the stage. LD booths in the back on one side. VIP rooms upstairs.

Within minutes I was joined by a hot 8-9 tall brunette. She had an Ivy League degree in something worthless like English literature but was able to converse intelligently on a number of topics, and was very good at probing to see what I was interested in. She sat and talked for a long time before asking if I wanted a dance. The LD booths were like nothing I'd seen before. They have machines to put the money in, and the girl has a wireless fob that tells the machine who she is. Dances were $40 which is high in my book. They don't dance to one song, the machine starts then flashes a red light when time is up. I forgot my stopwatch at home but the time seemed adequate. Her dances were nothing special, but sensuous enough and she let me touch everything.

After LD she came and sat with me at the bar, then the hard sell started. She offered me a free tour of the VIP rooms which I gladly accepted. They ranged from one with a glass door and love seat at $180 for 15 minutes to one with a fake fireplace, futon on the floor, closeable door, private waitress, and bottle of cheap sparkling wine at $2800 for an hour. I can get a hooker to come to my hotel room for $300 so I didn't see the point of any of this, but when I said as much to her it did not go over well. Much as I might have been tempted to fork over the $2800, I passed, finished my beer, and went home.
