Nice but a bit tame

First, as you've probably got from the other reviews this isn't a strip club but a "lap dance" party. I've only been to the one location so can't comment on the other spots but this location was nice, spacious, clean with a separate but not private dance area (more on that later).

I personally like the vibe when you walk in ... the bouncers are very mellow, no big stare down or macho intimidation bs. I went with a friend and we didn't have a reservation so they asked us how we heard about Lido and since we're in our 40's and pretty well groomed they let us in w no hassle. It was around 10 when we got there and it seemed like things were just getting going ... not a lot of guys but a ton of very pretty girls. I didn't take a headcount but there must have been more than 20 and not a clunker in the group. And most seemed pretty friendly, not overly pushy and seemed to be ok to just hang out and have a drink ... my friend and i connected with two girls, bought them drinks - they didn't push at all for us to buy them anything it was really more like meeting a couple of girls and hanging out (drinks were about the price you'd expect to pay in manhattan - not overpriced and were actual drinks not watered down crap).

After hanging out for a while I suggested a dance to one of the girs were talking to and she led me to a separate area off to the side of the main space with a bank of couches ... def not private but we happened to be the only ones there at the time. while the girl was very pretty and enthusiastic enough it was a standard lap dance. Perfectly fine for what it was but not what you'd call high mileage. I only went for the one dance with this girl since I really just wanted to test the water to see what might be on the menu. After went back to the bar area another conversation and went for another dance thinking maybe this one might offer more bang for the buck ... unfortunately, same deal - a nice enough dance from a very attractive girl but that was it. since there's no VIP or private area I'm pretty sure what I got is what's available.
