Not the Best, But It's Okay

After a long day of work – and remembering that I didn’t have to be in until 11 this (Sunday) morning, I decided to take some time and ride down south to check out some entertainment. I was on the way to Mint, driving through the rain…and then I remembered that the Trap was back open per recent reviews. I drove the extra little distance for the new experience, and also because Mint hadn’t been that great my last few visits.

The first thing I noticed is that there is no cover. Let me repeat that: there was no cover at 10:30 on a Saturday night. I’ve never heard of that anywhere, especially not a black club. You’re not exactly walking into E11, but still.

Speaking of where you’re walking into, there’s not much to the place at all. There are a couple of chairs and an end table with a lamp – like you’d find in a living room – to the right. There are a couple of areas that look like VIP booths, and it looks like the dressing room is to the right as well. The pool table seems to be the centerpiece, with the stage (two poles, but only one dancer was ever up there) and the surrounding bar to the extreme left. Only one TV, and an American flag to the left of it. That was weird. You have to walk all the way around the bar to get to the restroom.
