Still there
I found myself in Detroit a couple of Monday's ago and decided to stop in to a couple of Michigan Avenue places. First I went to Flight Club, then across the street to Bogart's. White different ambience, but similar products.
Flight Club - Since it was early afternoon there was no cover. A bottle of water was about $8. I was sitting at the bar watching the stage and was immediately approached by a young lady. She said she had been working there for four years and really enjoyed her job. We talked for 10 minutes or so when I asked her if there was anything special going on today. She said, "Do you mean my menu? I'll do anything; it all depends how much you want to spend." Interesting approach! Her prices were a bit high for the limited menu I was interested in. We talked for a few minutes more and she came down a bit to a more reasonable number, so we went upstairs.
I found the dances were very mechanical. There was no feeling in the activity, it was like putting a quarter in a ride when you were a kid and watching the pony go up and down for a couple of songs. I don't remember her name, but I wouldn't repeat.
