This was my first SC adventure in SFO since 2000. I frequented several of the historic clubs (MBOT, New Century, and some club up on Broadway) while on business trips here in the late 90's, often with fellow members of the ASS-C newsgroup (precursor to ZBone website). Gold Club is as upscale and clean as you could imagine a club to be. Bouncers shaking your hand as you walk in, wearing black suits and gloves (!!). Big TV screens, electronic wall, not a speck of dirt on the floor, on the table, on the glassware, or on the gorgeous waitresses and bartendresses. For a $20 cover charge ($10 more for going upstairs to the VIP floor), it better be. I walked in before 9, they let me sit at one of the tables (all with little "reserved" signs) that stretch between the entrance to the bar at the back (to the far rigjht, well beyond the main floor). A big front stage plus two small stages on either side of the main floor. A run and coke cost (!!) $14.50. In US dollars. Not Canadian dollars. Not dirhams. Not pesos. Plus they insist on a two drink minimum if you are sitting at a table without bottle service. From that perspective, considering the cover charge, not a great value at all. For the price of the cover and two drinks I could have gotten into a full nude club in Baltimore with my own bottle bottle of Sailor Jerry's rum and 6-pack of Coke Zero from the liquor store up the street. And had drinks for myself and my dancers.

But the babes here are piping hot. As they should be for a $20 cover chart and $14.50 mixed drinks. The dancer on stage when I settled in was a blonde 9.5. No tats. Maybe if her face had more distinctive features she would have been a 10. Her body certainly was. Ms. 9.5 did decent but not radical pole work like I am used to with some of the babes back East. The gals only take the top off on the second song but Ms 9.5's assets were worth waiting for. The girl who came after looked equally awesome and both gals were dancing to classic 60s-70s drum-heavy rock (including Hendrix and Zeppelin). For me that just adds to the awesomeness. Even the gal with the Kardashian-butt on the side stage was above-average. I'd call her Ms. 7.5. The one PL who was sitting along the stage got some up close boobiage for a good smattering of dollar bills.

The Nats-Dodgers NLDS Game 5 was still going so a lot of the other PLs could be forgiven for having their attention divided, though there were more Dodger fans in the room than you might expect in an SF strip club. All that said, most of the gals in the room were hanging out with guys in suits next to the bar, with a couple girls doing table dances in the seating area. So far it was a lot of look-don't touch, which spells doom in my book, especially with what I just paid for cover and drink. Until my own 10 showed up.
