Almost but not quite
tl;dr; If you want to go to a lapdance bar and are near union square, this will work. If you're looking for a fun party atmosphere, don't expect much unless (I'm told) its a Thursday/Friday.
Showed up on a Tuesday night, which one would expect to be slow anywhere, and it certainly was. Coat check was $3 and cover was $20 since it was 10 pm. The entire seating area was vacant, with all of the dancers congregating around the bar / rail above the seating, mostly chatting with the few patrons who are also at the bar. One of the dancers told me this happens because guys naturally assume the table means bottle service, but that isn't really the case. Nobody was on stage, which is sadly pole-less, but eventually a dancer showed up and sorta hung around up there. As the night went on, the amount of actual dancing on stage improved, but there's still a limit of what can be accomplished with no pole.
Dancers ranged from friendly to more interested in chatting with each other, which sort of boggled my mind from a business perspective. On the plus side, pretty low hustle, but it means your best bet is really take a look at all the girls near the bar, figure out who you want a lapdance from, and just go straight up and ask her. Otherwise you're going to get really random results, and for no reason when there's a dancer who is exactly your type glued to her phone 3 feet away. There really are all kinds of dancers to choose from. One from Rio had the absolute best set of fake tits I have seen and had my face between, and another from Denmark was a super fun conversationalist but I'd mostly spent my evening cash by the time I saw her. The first girl I got a dance from asked for tip on top of the lap dances and drink I bought her - super tacky, but the rest were fair and didn't overcharge.
