sinclair's Review
I went to Cabaret Le Carol on a Monday evening around 21:30. There was a $6 cover if I remember correctly. You also are expected to tip the bouncer that seats you. A $2 coin was sufficient. A bottle of water was $4.25. The stage is on the left wall, and the bar is on the right wall. The semicircle stage has two stationary poles. The stage was empty for long periods of time, which is common in Quebec. Stage tipping is very rare due to the $1 and $2 denominations being coins. The stage show is mostly for a dancer to show what she is working with. I only caught one dancer on stage the whole forty minutes I was there. There are five video gambling machines against the wall straight ahead. If you want to get a preview of the club, check out a reality television series that aired in 2015 called Le Carol, Bar de Danseuses. It was a French language cable show that showed the daily happenings of the dancers and employees working at Le Carol.
There were only seven dancers working. Most of the entertainers seemed to be older, like in their 30’s. One was Asian and six were Quebecois. There was one younger dancer who I’d rate about a 7 that I would’ve liked to have sampled, but she was locked down with a regular the whole time I was inside. Lap dances are $20. It seems a lot of the dancers and waitresses can speak English if needed, but it is always more respectful to converse in French.
Coincidentally, this strip club shares a parking lot with the Motel de L'Aéroport, formerly known as Recreation Motel. If you find a dancer you want to bang, a private room for short term fun is just a few steps away.
