Very upscale for Lexington

Stopped in Rhino for the first time in many years. Wow, the club itself rivals any of the big, fancy clubs in cities like Houston, Detroit, Chicago, and Dallas. Décor is off the hook for a rather small building just of the interstate. Definitely a late evening, post midnight club. Looks pretty dead in the early evening.

Girls are outstanding, and found out a few drive from Tennessee and West Virginia to come work at the club. It's all nude and most of the girls show all the goods on the main center stage or one of the intimate satellite stages. Guys tip liberally for most girls on stage and that seems to keep both parties happy. Dancers do seem to hang with customer friends or regulars and have fun drinking and on their phones. It was obvious that if you were new to the club, you were not going to get much attention. Luckily I did - with the oldest dancer in club that could have easily been one of the young girls' mother.

But that's where the Rhino experience really failed for me. The older dancer explained these ridiculous prices for private VIP rooms that demanded the customer to buy a bottle which was paraded into the room with sparklers attached. Silly. Regular dances were also pretty pricey with both a topless and nude option at $40 per song. I took her up for one song just to see the dance room. Oh my - it was horrible. It had rows of small chairs that were framed with metal to look like private cubicles. Looked like to me something you would see in a Southeast Asia sweatshop. A bouncer rang in the payment and just stood there staring at your seriously boring dance. Now I knew why only the drunk fools were getting dances.
