Players is an upscale-type club as far as looks go, but the prices are pretty reasonable. Drink prices are normal for the Detroit area, $7-$8 for a mixed drink, slightly less for a beer. There's a long stage through the middle of the room, with seating available at the stage, at tables near the stage, the bar area, and booths along the outside of the club. I'm pretty sure you have to pay to get seated in the booths. I'd rather sit by the bar or at the stage so I didn't bother.

The dancers were all pretty attractive - 7s, 8s, and 9s. The main problem I ran into is that it was like pulling teeth to get any of the dancers to come over and sit with me or take me back for a private dance. I stage-tipped 4 girls before one finally came over for a short chat and a trip into the VIP area. Either the girls were all hanging out with regulars or they're told to give first preference to the guys in the booths. It was odd, it wasn't like there was a lot of traffic back to the VIP.

The VIP at Player's is great. Dances are $20/song with a $5 charge to go back into the VIP area. There's a ton of privacy, including a little translucent curtain the girl can pull across the doorway to give even more privacy. The dance that I did finally get (from an attractive blonde, can't recall the name) was top notch, lots of grinding, stick shifting, and mouth contact through the pants.
