Dissapointing

I was working in the mid-cities for a couple of days and unexpectedly got a cancellation on a sales call to open up my Tuesday afternoon. This club was new to me and it was close, so instead of fighting traffic back to north-east Dallas, I decided to pop in for the afternoon. The parking lot is safe looking and the inside of the club isn't bad. From the outside the club looks sort of boxy. But inside it opens up with a main stage and several satellites scattered around.

The lunch crowd (if there was one) was gone. I think I was one of about 5 people in the club, together with 6-7 dancers. Now, those are usually pretty good odds, but there was really only one girl in the club that was over a 5 (a tall AA with loooooong legs). By the way she was talking to the manager, it looked like her first day. And, unfortunately, I couldn't get her attention for squat.

So I sat watching the average and below-average dancers, and thought about leaving. All of a sudden K**** sat down next to me and wanted to talk. She was friendly, talkative and pretty nice, but she was definitely not my type. (Not that I'm attracted to unfriendly girls, but I just couldn't get worked up over her and had really made up my mind to go. So I sat. And waited. And tried to be friendly back. She was not from Texas. A girl from the mid-west. We talked about traveling, and Texas, and her kids and I finally realized that the only way I was going to get away was to get a couple of dances. So we headed over to the far left corner where someone had previously worked on a chair fort. Still pretty much out in the open. She offered the VIP, which looked a lot more secluded, but I was trying to go, not stay, so I said no thanks.
