Cafe Risqué is a combination of nude club and 24 hr cafe (breakfast, lunch and dinner are available) in Micanopy, near Gainesville. It does not excel in either one, but is adequate for the area. It is just adjacent to I-75, making it readily accessible from Interstate. Cafe is not a bad place to enjoy a lunch or dinner and watch nude girls dance on stage. The nude stage dances are generally of good quality, depending on the girl. Even though Cafe is open 24 hrs, from 3am to 11am there are no nude stage dances and only nude waitressing is available. The waitress usually gives topless private or VIP dances (for the usual hefty fee). The club layout has been previously described. In general the dancer quality and private/VIP dance experience has improved, especially in the night shifts. There are some new girls in the night shifts. Day shift tend to have more older dancers. Some may be too old to perform nude dances in nude clubs. At least there should be a better mix of younger and old. This club with a nearby large University should be filled with beautiful young talents. Joy, Nina and Candy give excellent private or VIP dances. Try them out. Recently the club has been in a major turmoil as a result of sudden termination of long time manager Glen. All the dancers and customers like Glen and are very displeased by his sudden termination. It is the managers and dancers that interact with customers and make the club work. The owner and general manager should be appreciative of it. The club continues have many negatives that include: 1) high cost of private dances ($30 private dance; $40 or $50 for VIP dances) that are in reality topless bikini dances (it is odd that a nude club has bikini private dances and not nude private dances), 2) constant presence of video cameras everywhere, including in private dance areas, 3) poor design of dance stage, 4) poor quality of furniture and 5) poor quality and inadequacy of men's room. The other disadvantage to dancers and customers is that the Club severely limits the number of dancers in a given shift by preventing them getting on schedule. There is no way of knowing which dancer is working on a given shift. In addition, manager does not announce the name of the dancer performing on stage so that customers know who they like. They've added one extra VIP dance booth which is a welcome relief. I strongly recommend that the club drop the private dance prices to $20 song and VIP dances to $30 a song (fix the prices at VIP as currently it is like in Wild West with each girl requesting different amounts and sometimes different amounts to different customers). They should also eliminate admission fees for day shifts as many Florida clubs do not charge them during day shifts. I'll visit the club again, especially in the night shift.
