An Afternoon Visit
It was a Thursday afternoon and I had some to kill between obligations. Parking was plenty and found a spot up front. The entrance was wide open and "cashier" at the desk didn't really have much to do except to welcome me in and answer the phone. She told me that lunch was available and free and to enjoy. A dancer was on the main stage area when I walked into the club, and there was one on one of the satellite stages. Even with parts of the club partitioned off (areas usually open during the evening hours) the club still looks and feels big. I decided to sit at the bar for a drink and to get my bearings. Bartender was a cute blond in one of those corsets that most of the female wait staff wear. I was approached by one of the Cuban dancers and she asked if she could join me and I said sure. She wasn't much of a conversationalist and I could tell right away that we were not going to click. She also smoked these slim cigarettes like they were going out of style. Thankfully she moved on. There were a few dancers who did catch my eye, but two of them were already engaged with other customers. One was too focused on her cell phone to care about anything else. Strange since the number of customers wasn't that high. The stage performances were okay but nothing when compared to the talent during the evening shifts (pole tricks, acrobatics, etc...). I probably will come again and hopefully will get a little more attention.
