Wanted to try something new

I wanted to go to a new club. SO I went to Christina's. Thinks of a local bar with some dancers. Everyone working there was nice, but the place is not very upscale. The girls were pleasant and friendly (even though the tipping during the song hustle was a little tiring). My complaint was the other customers. This is almost a locals only place. I talked to a few ladies and asked them to come by as there were dancing. They agreed. However, as they were coming to me, some of the locals would corral them and prevent them from visiting me. This happened multiple times. Each of the girls just looked at me and gave me a sorry look and shoulder shrug. It's a shame, because the locals didn't appear to be tipping or buying dances ( and I had intended to). I talked to the DJ about it, and he tried to help some but it didn't really work out. The locals definitely feel it is their club, and they don't want to share. In a few cases, I really can't blame them :-)
