Hidden Gem, kinda ...

The Golden Banana’s gotten a bad rap in past years, being on the ill-reputed Route 1. When I finally had the opportunity to go with friends, I walked in expecting North Shore trash. What I got was a pleasant surprise. Having enjoyed clubs in Montreal, Vegas, Miami as well as the only gentleman’s club in Boston – among others – I’d like to think I have a solid idea of what a quality club is. Golden Banana is not far off the mark at all, friends. In fact, it was more on the mark than not. Is it super modern? Not exactly. Clean? Yes. Early 2000’s décor, but a great viewing scene. There’s not a bad seat in the house. The girls? Much hotter than I’d expected. In fact, I recognized a couple who’d moved on from Centerfolds, and they were among my faves. All flavors are represented – curvaceous and real, curvaceous and altered, slim and real, slim and altered, and a multitude of skin tones to please the masses. The music here is actually far better than a lot of clubs I’ve been to – they even play Disturbed and Marilyn along with Top 40, hip hop and classic. It might not be right, but it’s far from wrong.
