Was expecting more
Choosing between 2-3 clubs in SA and picked Rick's first. Regretful choice. Chose the vip level of cover ($35) at the front desk, got my arm band and entered the club. I was the lone vip there, which was awkward. Very few girls, most of which were at, what looked like, their regulars tables. I would have liked one or two of those, but was approached by a Hispanic young lady that agreed to accompany me to the vip area. Expecting a VIPs treatment, I was disappointed with a couple lackluster dances. There's an area behind the vip area that is nicely secluded. As I recall, there were about 10 booths with padded benches. My dancer was rather vague as to what went on back there but I think it was a little early in the evening for any of that traffic. After a disappointing performance, I sought another entertainer. It only got worse. Two more lackluster dances and it was time to leave. There are 3-4 stages that all have very bright lights surrounding the stages at eye level when you are seated at a table. This was a real distraction. If you don't choose the vip, cover is either $5 or $10 and there are very few areas for dances, especially if you're looking for privacy. But don't expect anything great to happen at Rick's San Antonio. Next stop SA Men's Club, which was a much better choice.
